Now, you may or may not remember that Columbus has a couple of projects going on downtown – one of which is a really excellent looking new bridge across the Scioto river at Main Street. The new bridge is likely going to end up opening during winter here so this type of event might not work so well as a “christening” type thing for the bridge but, when joined with the new Scioto Mile this might be just the type of event that could really showcase these wonderful new community resources.

Consider what could be achieved for some of our food/social justice related community organizations with an event like this. Imagine Dine Originals and Local Matters sponsoring the event and getting some strong publicity out of it; then consider ticket sales going to the Mid Ohio Food Bank that provides meals throughout Central Ohio through the great network of food pantries.
